The final exam will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 between 8AM - 11AM located at:
1pm section students go to 163 or 168 EL. (EL is Everitt Laboratory (1406 West Green Street, Urbana, IL 61801 - On the corner of Wright st and Green St))
For all other sections, students go to BIF-1001. (BIF is College of Business Instructional facility (515 East Gregory Drive, Champaign, IL 61820 - On the corner of Sixth and Gregory))

Topics covered on the exams are based on the sections listed at the top of each homework.

If you are taking the CONFLICT EXAM, it will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2011 between 8AM - 11AM in 305 MSEB.

Since we are using course notes this semester, the topics covered in the exams are exactly the ones in the course notes.

Exam 1 covers problems, lectures, and reading for problem sets 1-6, which is covered in the notes through Section 2.12. You should know the meanings, forms, means, and variances for the key discrete distributions for all the exams, including the final exam. If you have a conflict for this exam, you must contact Dr. Alvarez at least one week prior to the exam, to request an alternative exam time and explain why.

Exam 2 covers problems, lectures, and reading for problem sets 1-11, with emphasis on problem sets 7-11, which is covered in the notes through Section 4.6. You should know the meanings, forms, means, and variances for the key continuous-type distributions for all Exam 2 and the final exam. If you have a conflict for this exam, you must contact Prof. Lu at least one week prior to the exam, to request an alternative exam time and explain why.

The final will cover problems, lectures, and reading for all the problem sets, covered in the notes through the end of the notes. If you have a conflict for the final exam, you must contact Prof. Viswanath at least one week prior to the exam, to request an alternative exam time and explain why.

You should take the exams in the exam rooms corresponding to the section you are registered in, not the section you are auditing (if those two do not happen to coincide). Please make sure that you bring your IDs with you, and that you show up at least 15 minutes earlier, in order to avoid last minute problems (such as not being able to find the room).

If for some reason of emergency such as severe illness you are not able to take an exam at the required time, you will need to obtain a written excuse from the emergency dean, and you will need to take a makeup exam in a timely fashion.

You may bring one 8.5" by 11" sheet of notes to the midterm exams; and two 8.5" by 11" sheets of notes to the final exam. Both sides of the sheets can be used. The notes can be typed in font size 10 or larger, or written in handwriting of equivalent size or larger. The exams are closed-book and closed-notes otherwise. Electronic devices (calculators, cell phones, pagers, laptops, etc.) are neither necessary nor permitted.
