A lot of the sensor breakout boards we'll use come from Adafruit; the Adafruit site is a wonderful resource for code, links to manufacturers' data sheets, and how-to instructions. See, for example, the BME680 material there for instructions about wiring the device to your Arduino and installing a library necessary to use the device.
