10/09: Exam 1 scores are now uploaded. The exam was out of 100, each question was worth 20 points. The average score was 75 with a standard deviation of 17. The median score was 79. Solutions will be posted soon.

The averages on the various questions were: Q1: 85%. Q2: 82%. Q3: 72%. Q4: 86%. Q5: 50%. The top score was 100/100. Here is the distribution of total scores:

10/19: Midterm exam II is now scheduled for Thursday November 15. This will be in class at the usual time. Please mark your calendars. You will be permitted one page of notes with writing on only one side. A sample/practice exam will be posted closer to the exam date. 

11/30: Exam 2 scores are now uploaded. The exam was out of 100, each question was worth 20 points. The average score was 75 with a standard deviation of 13. The median score was 76. 

The averages on the various questions were: Q1: 68%. Q2: 79%. Q3: 67%. Q4: 83%. Q5: 78%. The top score was 99/100. Here is the distribution of total scores:

12/12: Sample Final exam now posted. Final exam is on Monday December 17th 8 am - 11 am in Loomis 141. Please arrive early so that we can begin the exam on time. 

The exam covers all material from week 1 of the course.  Approximately 50% of the exam will be on the 1st 20 lectures, and 50% will be on the last 8 lectures.

Rule on notes: You may bring in one US letter-sized sheet of paper with notes. They must be your own notes. No photocopies will be permitted. You can type your notes, however, they must be your own work.

Exam office hours: Sunday December 16th 1pm-5pm outside Loomis 141/151.

Your grades will be updated to the online gradebook, please check this regularly to ensure your scores are begin recorded accurately.

Excused Absences

Please submit your excused absence no later than 14 days from your absence via the Excused Absences application. The count begins the day of your absence.
