iClicker Information
Introduction
(Note, this year physics 212 will be using an new application that allows us to reward students for not multitasking on their phone during lecture.)
Participation in the PHYS 212 lectures requires the use of iclicker reef (an app for your smartphone if you do not have a smartphone, you may vote using an iclicker) Instructions for setting up iclicker REEF on IOS and Android.
We have arranged to this APP to be free in Physics 212 this semester. Do NOT pay for a subscription for our class

The more you interact with your lecturer the better you will learn the material!
Points
You will receive one point of credit (out of 1000 total for the course) for every lecture in which you participate using the iClicker.
Participate means answering at least 75% of the questions (not necessarily correctly, though) asked in that lecture and having your phone in focus mode (using iclicker REEF app) during the entire lecture.
NOTE: Although we encourage you to attend the lecture to which you are assigned (to keep the sizes balanced), you can get clicker credit at any of the lectures on a given day.
The awarded points will show up in the gradebook approximately at the end of each week.
