PrairieLearn Review Scores
To maximize all students’ discussion scores the following procedure has been used:
- The two highest review scores were averaged together.
- If no review scores were present an EX (the average of the other quizzes) was used.
- If the average of the two highest review scores was lower than the two lowest quiz scores, the student was given an EX.
- This guarantees, the two lowest quiz scores, before the review assignments, will be dropped.
This procedure has been applied to all students.
Please let me know (eschulte@illinois.edu) if you have any questions.
Interference & Diffraction Model
If you would like to play with interference & diffraction patterns from multi-slit setups I've built a spreadsheet model you can play with.
The model contains two sheets:
- patterns from one wavelength only
- patterns from two wavelengths
Enjoy!
Extra Discussion Points!
Due Date: Reading Day, 13 December 2018!
To help you prepare for your final exam, and reward all of your hard work in discussion, we will add your PrairieLearn Review Assignment scores to your quiz score. Here's how it will work:
- Your review assignment scores will be averaged together.
- The result will be uploaded to the grade book as Quiz 11.
- We will increase the number of dropped quizzes from 1 to 2.
You will have one opportunity to have your review assignment instances reset according to the following schedule. Remember, if your instance is reset, all of your previous scores will be erased and you will be starting over.
Use the links below to request a reset.
Schedule for Review Assignment Resets:
- Review 1 One Reset after 20 November: Reset My Review 1
- Review 2 One Reset after 20 November: Reset My Review 2
