Every student is required to scribe an assigned lecture. The assignment is available here. The project consists in extending the scribe with an experimental section where the discussed algorithms or techniques are used on a synthetic or, for better grades, on a real dataset.
You are required to typeset in . Use the template available here.
The scribe should be at least 8 pages long after compiling using the provided template.
You are required to follow the notations used in class. If you need to introduce new notation, remember to define them first.
The scribe should clearly explain the concepts taught in the lecture such that a student that wasn’t able to attend the class can follow along. Feel free to copy/paste figures used in the lecture slides. You are very welcome to use additional figures and/or examples to help explain the concepts.
The scribe should have a project section, where a synthetic or real dataset is used to illustrate the algorithms or techniques discussed in the lecture.
Scribe & project grade: 50% scribe, 50% project (experiments and code).

The pdf report should be submitted to gradescope (course code: 9N2G22). File name should be netid_lectureXX.pdf (e.g. messaou2_lecture01.pdf).
The code, data and source of the report should be submitted as a zip file to the E-Mail address: IllinoisECE544@gmail.com. E-Mail subject should be [ECE544] Scribe LectureXX netid. File name should be netid_lectureXX.zip (e.g. messaou2_lecture01.zip).
Be sure to acknowledge references you used.
Directly copying from online sources / other students or letting other students copy your work will result in a 0.
