Presentation Shedule

Please find the presentation schedule [here]. If you would like to use slides for your presentation, you are required to upload the slides to compass at least 24 hours before your presentation.

The file name should be XX_date.pdf or XX_date.pptx, where XX is the zero-padded two-digit order specified in the presentation schedule (the second column), e.g., for the first group presenting on Dec 4, upload your slides with the name ‘01_Dec04.pdf’ or ‘01_Dec04.pptx’.

The first slide should have the full names and the netids of all your team members.


Note on Teams

You are allowed to work in groups of up to three people.


Project Proposal

Late policy: Late submission will not be accepted after the due date.

The project proposal report should be in the form of a conference submission, we will follow CVPR’s submission format [link]. You are required to typeset it in . Download the CVPR template here [link].

Part 1: Assignment

There are three options for the project:

The project proposal should contain the following parts:

  1. Introduction and Project Descriptions
  2. Proposed Method
  3. Dataset Description
  4. Proposed Experiments
  5. Resource Feasibility
  6. Tentative timeline and the necessary steps
  7. Referenes

Part 2: Submit

Hand in assignment on compass.

The project proposal should be in pdf format. File name should be netid_project_proposal.pdf (e.g. ythu2_project_proposal.pdf).

For groups of two or more, only one team member should submit the project proposal. File name should be netids_project_proposal.pdf (e.g., ythu1_ythu2_project_proposal.pdf).


Written Report

Part 1: Written report

The written report should be in pdf format and contain the following parts (a total of 6 pages including reference page):

Part 2: Code

Code Description + Code: Well documented code including a README file specifying the instructions on how to run the code and reproduce the results. Note: significant similarity in code of online sources will result in loss of points.

Part 3: Submit the written report

The project proposal should be in pdf format. File name should be netid_project_report.pdf (e.g ythu2_project_report.pdf).

For groups of two or more, only one team member should submit the project report. File name should be netids_project_report.pdf (e.g. ythu1_ythu2_project_report.pdf)

Part 4: Submit code

Submit a single zip file, named netids_code.zip, to compass. The zip file has to contain the following:
