Course schedule

As mentioned in the syllabus, the lecture notes for this course are required. Students are expected to do the readings listed under Assigned reading.

The assigned readings will be from the course's lecture notes: T. Başar, S. P. Meyn, W. R. Perkins, Lecture Notes on Control System Theory and Design. This will be denoted (BMP).

Supplementary reading material is from:

  • Chi-Tsong Chen, Linear System Theory and Design, 3rd edition. This will be denoted (C).

  • Daniel Liberzon, Calculus of Variations and Optimal Control Theory: A Concise Introduction. This will be denoted (L).

The Supplemental readings are optional, and either help reinforce some of the material from the course reader or provide the interested student with a deeper coverage of the material.
