ECE 498KF Quantum Optics and Devices

   

Quantum information and quantum technology have triggered heated competition into the second quantum revolution around the globe, highlighted by the recent pass of National Quantum Initiative Act which aims at significant support of fundamental research in this area as well as heavy industrial investment involving tech companies such as Google, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, etc. This course will focus on basic theory of quantum optics, and also cover leading hardware architectures to implement quantum information protocols.
