Traditional household shoe cabinets have only single function for the placement and storage of shoes, and most of the time they are closed and unventilated, so that the bacteria in the shoes can easily breed in the dark and damp environment, which cannot meet people's basic needs for foot health care. To this end, the intelligent shoe cabinets with multi-functional including ventilation, dehumidification, drying and so on will bring health and comfort to our life.

The Cabinet we designed are multi-functional, it has control module, temperature and humidity detection module, adjust module, combination key module, display module, alarm module, in-home HVAC module and a WIFI module which allows us to remote control or observe the environment within a cabinet. The working principle is as follows: firstly, the temperature and humidity values in the current cabinet are read by the temperature and humidity sensor, and displayed through the LCD screen. When the value read by the humidity sensor exceeds the specified value, the alarm device is activated, and in-home HVAC module will used to control the temperature by ventilating and heating. We will also use a ultraviolet ray for bacteria eliminating. Users can also set the wanted value of temperature or humidity through cell phone, and also control the function of cabinet through it.

Pocket Pedal - A Bluetooth Controlled Effects Box

Featured Project

Our idea is to make an inexpensive alternative to traditional pedal powered guitar effects boxes. Essentially, we hope to implement a single aftermarket effects box that can be remote controlled via a mobile app. This low-power, Bluetooth connected application can control the box to change effects on the go. The hardware within the effects box will be able to alter the guitar's signals to create different sounds like echoing, looping, and distortion effects (and possibly more). These effects will be implemented using analog circuits that we will design and construct to be controlled by an app on your phone.

This project eliminates the expensive buy-in for a guitarist hoping to sound like any number of famous musicians with multiple effects pedals. On top of this, it also aims to get rid of the clutter that comes with the numerous pedals and boxes connected to an amplifier. Many pedals today don't even have a visual interface to select effects through some sort of menu. The app will also provide a much more handy and portable visual representation of the possible effects all from the phone in your pocket!
