Touchpad-Controlled Parametric Equalizer

Designer's Award

Description: The idea is to use a touchpad to select the desired frequency and then boost or cut the frequency depending on where your finger is. Essentially you use your finger to "dial-in" the frequency you want to cut or boost. The horizontal axis of the touchpad would be frequency and the vertical axis would be amplitude attenuation or boost. The advantage of this system over conventional parametric equalizer systems is that you can quickly sweep the frequency spectrum in real- time to find the frequency that you want (i.e. the frequency that is making a microphone feedback), and cut it out without having to do cumbersome knob twiddling.
