ECE 210/211 – Analog Signal Processing

Exam Information

This course uses the College of Engineering Computer-Based Testing Facility (CBTF) for exams. Students should prepare two-device system for the exam proctoring. The violation of the CBTF policies will lead to academic integrity infractions in this course.

There are no scheduled make-up exams. If you have an unavoidable medical or personal emergency, an exception might be granted. To be eligible for a make-up exam, you must notify the instructor (not a TA) before the scheduled starting time of the exam, and you must fully document your absence. Students with documented disabilities must email a Letter of Accommodation (LOA) to Carleen Sacris before the first CBTF exam reservation.

If you have any issue during an exam, inform the proctor immediately. Work with the proctor to resolve the issue at the time before logging off. If you do not inform a proctor of a problem during the test then you forfeit all rights to redress.

If you do not have a physical i-card, and therefore no ID photo with the i-card office, submit a photo to the CBTF as soon as possible to avoid problems when checking in for exams. Email photos to Destinee at daf5@illinois.edu.

ECE 210 students will take three midterm exams and a final exam.

ECE 211 students will take just the first two midterms. The second exam will serve as their final exam.

All exams will be closed book, closed notes. Electronic devices of any sort such as calculators, laptops, PDAs, cellphones, pagers, iPods or other MP3 players etc. are not permitted. A sheet of useful tables will be provided to you during your exams. If you have any issues during the exams, please inform the proctors immediately and work with them to resolve the issues before logging off.

Students shouldn't discuss the contents covered in the tests until the next day of the exams. Students should follow the student code and any violation of the policies above may lead to 'academic integrity violation’.

Midterm Exams

Midterm exams are scheduled during evenings on:

• Thursday, July 1, 2021, 7:00pm-7:50pm

• Thursday, July 15, 2021, 7:00pm-7:50pm

• Thursday, July 29, 2021, 7:00pm-7:50pm

If you can't make it to any regular exams, please e-mail Prof. Chen within the first week of class to schedule conflict ones. All the conflict exams will be held at 8pm-8:50pm on the same day as the regular exams. Exam solutions will be posted on the course web site after the regrade period is over.

Final Exam

The final exam (for 210 students) will take place on Friday, August 6, 2021, time TBD.

Exam Regrades

If you have questions about your exam score, you must contact the instructor within three teaching days after the exam is graded.

Note that your entire exam will be regraded. This means that you may end up with a lower grade after regrading.
