Course Description

This course covers advanced concepts, models, and algorithms in information retrieval and text mining, including both historical milestones and major recent developments in the field. Topics include information retrieval models, statistical language models, information retrieval evaluation, applications of machine learning in information retrieval and text mining, and other emerging new topics.
