Course Description: (ECE 420) Development of real-time digital signal processing (DSP) systems using a DSP microprocessor. Several structured laboratory exercises, such as sampling and digital filtering, followed by an extensive DSP project of the student's choice. Students are encouraged to pursue final projects with embedded systems, for example, programming a cell phone with an ARM processor. Prerequisite: ECE 310.

Lectures are once a week on Mondays from 2-2:50pm in 241 Everitt Laboratory.

Labs

Labs are held in Room 251 Everitt Laboratory.
Section AB1 meets Tuesday, 2:30-4:20 PM.
Section AB2 meets Wednesday, 2:00-3:50 PM.

Working code is due the same day as the quiz.

The lab is available at all times except University holiday weekends and ECE 420 class times.

You are welcome to come in and work while another lab session is in progress. However, priority will be given to students enrolled in that section.
