Grad Project Stage A
Decide what topic you would like to survey.
- Your survey must present your own findings and opinions, in both breadth and depth, after extensive study and reading. It cannot be straight adoption/adaptation of just a few articles.
- Your survey should synthesize from your extensive study of the state of the art. You can draw upon references-- But every article should be cited properly and should not contribute to more than 30% of your survey.
- You survey should cite, at every place of mentions, if you use any statements and opinions from any existing articles. (Simply listing references at the end of article is not sufficient.)
- Your survey should explicitly elaborate how it is built upon and related to your bibliographic references. Your last section of the survey should be " Bibliographic Notes ", which should explain the references you have used, how and how much each reference contributes to your survey, and what have you found/synthesized on top of the references.
- Please note: Academic integrity is a common sense, and a very important one:
- Please review our course policies on academic integrity .
- In particular, it links to U of I's policy and definition on plagiarism .
